Events

Our events bring members, guests, and neighbors together to connect, serve, and support the local community. The Exchange Club of Kiawah-Seabrook hosts dinner meetings with guest speakers, service projects, and special events that advance our mission and Programs of Service: Child Abuse Prevention, Youth and Education, Community Service, and Americanism. We welcome both members and first-time visitors to explore the calendar below, learn more about upcoming events, and register to attend.

    This year, we are proud to award three scholarships to outstanding seniors from St. John’s High School whose dedication, character, and future aspirations reflect the very best of our community.

    • Two $5,000 scholarships are being presented to students who plan to pursue careers in education—one focusing on English education and the other on early childhood education. Their commitment to shaping future generations is inspiring.
    • One $6,000 scholarship is being awarded to a student entering the field of nursing, a profession rooted in compassion, service, and lifelong learning.

    These students represent the promise of tomorrow, and we are honored to support their next steps.

    Cocktails will start at 5:45 followed by dinner at 6:30. Registration will be available from April 22nd through May 3rd.

    We will celebrate our 2026 Angel Oak Award Honoree, Leroy Blake, with dinner, drinks, and live music. This has always been a great event and has provided an excellent source of funds for the Foundation to help support our Annual Grants Program.

    There is a cap of 150 total attendees. Individual Ticket prices are $125 for members and guests. Full Table Sponsorship Tickets  are available for $1300 and each table seats 8 people. Half Table Sponsorship Tickets are available for $650 and each half table seats 4 people. Multiple sponsors are welcome for any table. 

    For assistance or any questions contact rmlegg8@gmail.com. All proceeds go to support the mission of the Exchange Club which is to enrich the Johns Island and Wadmalaw Island communities via:

    • Child Abuse Prevention programs

    • Youth & Education initiatives

    • Community outreach services covering health, housing, hunger, and mentoring.

    • Promotion of pride in our country through the display of American flags honoring South Carolina fallen heroes at prominent locations on Johns, Kiawah and Seabrook Islands during major holidays and events.

    Join us for the 2026 Seabrook Island Veterans Day Golf Tournament, presented by the Exchange Club of Kiawah-Seabrook.

    The purpose of the event is to honor veterans who have served our country, and to raise money to support the Ralph Johnson Veteran’s Hospital and the Friends of Fisher House. 

    The event will be a captain’s choice scramble format beginning with a 9:30 am shotgun start. Teams will be flighted for awards based on total team handicap. Following play, the Club will serve a Captain Sam’s buffet with grilled burgers, chicken sandwiches, and all the trimmings in the Atlantic Ballroom.

    The 14th Annual Bohicket 5K & Half Marathon at Seabrook Island will be held again at the beautiful FreshFields Village to create a run unlike any other.

    Runners from all over the Southeast will have the opportunity to enjoy the exclusive Seabrook Island scenery while helping to raise funds for various charities and promoting a healthy lifestyle in addition to providing care and shelter for animals needing help and protection.

    All proceeds from the Run will benefit programs supported by The Exchange Club of Kiawah-Seabrook and will provide much needed funding for the wonderful work being done at the Charleston Animal Society. We also support the Charleston Running Club and their community service activities. 

    The Bohicket 5K and Half Marathon at Seabrook Island is put on in conjunction with the Exchange Club of Kiawah-Seabrook, the Charleston Animal Society, and the Charleston Running Club.
